Raymond J. “Chub” THOMPSON, 56, of Ulysses, PA, died Thursday, April 8, 2021 in UPMC Hamot, Erie.
Born June 24, 1964, in Coudersport, he was the son of Lawrence Raymond and Marjorie White Thompson. On February 26, 1987, in Friendship, NY, he married the former Peggy S. Warner, who predeceased him on August 23, 2017. Ray was a logger for many years.
Surviving are: his mother, Marjorie Thompson of West Bingham; three children, Tonya (James) Stillwell of Galeton, Amber (Jason Kenderdine) Thompson of Westfield and Tylor (Lynnea DeStasio) Thompson of Knoxville; four grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth (Becky) Thompson of Ulysses, Lawrence C. Thompson of Westfield, and Roy Thompson of Ulysses; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father. Private burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
A public memorial gathering will be held at the Roadside Rest in Harrison Valley on Saturday, April 17, 2021, beginning at 12:00 Noon. CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines apply.
