Robert W. Dickens, 78, of 7 Middaugh Street passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Highland Park Healthcare Center. He was born January 15, 1936 in Wellsville the son of the late Harold and Zana (Fisher) Dickens. On September 29, 1960 in Belfast he married Nancy Mowers who predeceased him on August 1, 2000.

Bob was a 1955 graduate of Belmont High School. He was formerly employed at the Borden Milk Plant in Belmont and later for Friendship Dairies for 38 years; retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, archery, walking the streets of Belmont and NASCAR.

He is survived by one daughter, Debra (Jeff) Butler of Belmont, one son, Scott (Jolene) Dickens of Scio, seven grandchildren, Matthew and Timothy Butler and Jake, Jace, Jennifer, Jesse, and Jazlynn Dickens, two sisters, Donna (James) Leonard of Wellsville and Barbara (Bryan) Caldwell of Belmont as well as several nieces & nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, (July 31, 2014) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., 17 Schuyler Street in Belmont. The funeral will follow visitation at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Richard Hurd presiding. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
