Roger M. BILLINGS, Jr., 69, of Hallsport, NY, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester following a brief illness.
Born September 27, 1956, in Wellsville, he was the son of Roger M. and Margaret Meyer Billings. On September 6, 1975, in Wellsville, he married Elizabeth A. Nicholson, who survives. A 1974 graduate of Wellsville High School, he was a lifelong farmer. Roger and Liz owned a septic tank business, Seneca Pre-Cast, for four years. He enjoyed working at Air Preheater for over 30 years, retiring in August of 2025. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, bee keeping, gardening, picking blueberries, splitting wood, and taking care of his lawn.
Surviving besides his wife, Liz, are: his father, Roger M. Billings, Sr.; two children, Bridget (Fred) Roberts and Jeremy (Stephanie) Billings; eight grandchildren, Jacob (Meghan) Billings, Arron (Alyssa) Wixson, Laura (Gage Anderson-Hinkle) Wixson, Craig Billings, Kyle (Jessica) Billings, Christopher (Payton) Billings, Erin (Tyler) Below, and Asher Billings; five great-grandchildren, including Ella-Gayle Billings and Oliver Daniel Billings; nine step-great-grandchildren; three siblings, Pam Billings Brandes, Brenda L. (Cindy) Billings, and Brad Billings; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother.
A gathering to celebrate Roger’s life will be held Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the Willing Town Hall, 1431 State Route 19 South, Wellsville, NY, beginning at 1:00 PM.
Memorials may be made to Jones Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or Comfort House of Allegany County.
