Roger L. Herring, 65, of 2117 Petrolia Road died on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Wellsville Highland Healthcare Center. He was born March 23, 1945 in Scranton, PA the son of the late John and Marjorie (Rodney) Herring. On August 7, 2004 in Stannards he married Stacey Smith Matteson who survives.
Roger was a graduate of Lyndonville High School and was a member of the Ashwood Methodist Church. He was employed as a steel fabricator for 20 years in Medina. He has resided in Wellsville area for seven years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters, Barbara Farrell of Medina and Marjorie Duffield of Wellsville, one brother, Donald (Deanna) Herring of Lyndonville as well as several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John Herring.
At Roger's request, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Memorial donations are suggested to any charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc. in Wellsville.
