Ronald C. McNeil
TURTLEPOINT- Ronald C. McNeil, 70, of Long Hollow Rd., passed away unexpectedly Sunday (May 27, 2018) in his home.
Born Sept. 3, 1947, in Olean NY, he was a son of Clair F. and Hazel G. Plummer McNeil.
Ronald was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1965.
Mr. McNeil was a truck driver and self-employed farmer, working on family farm with his dad, before his retirement.
Mr. McNeil attended the First Church of God in Eldred.
He was a member of Sharon Lodge 598, F.&A.M., Shinglehouse, past Worthy Patron of O.E.S. Keystone Chapter 2, Duke Center, PA, member & president of the Eldred Senior Center, former member of the Eldred Lions Club, and volunteered and helped with the McKean County Fair. He enjoyed raising livestock and was a certified poultry technician. He also loved playing euchre.
Surviving are two sons, Mark D. McNeil of Turtlepoint, and Andrew C. McNeil of Maryland; five grandchildren, three great-grand-children; and a sister, Edna M. Taylor of Port Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Robert J. and Donald A. McNeil.
Private funeral and committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorials can be made to the Port Allegany Fire Dept. or the Eldred Senior Center.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
