Sarah C. BRUBAKER, 81, of Westfield, PA, died Friday, October 21, 2022 in UPMC Wellsboro, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital.

 

Born October 4, 1941, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Anna Hock Crider. On March 10, 1962, in Newville, she married Stanley E. Brubaker, who survives. A graduate of Messiah Academy, she earned her LPN degree from Chambersburg Area School of Nursing. She was employed by Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport for four years and the Green Home in Wellsboro for 15 years. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in Westfield for 45 years and the S’s Dairy Store for five years. Sarah served as Westfield Township Judge of Election for 50 years. She was an active member of the People’s Church of Potter Brook and a former member of Jemison Valley Brethren in Christ Church.

 

Surviving besides her husband, Stanley, are: five children, Stanley Brubaker, Jr. of Westfield, Sandra (Steven) Baker of Genesee, Steven (Jerilyn) Brubaker of Westfield, Sharon (Wendell) Boll of Bolivar, NY, Sylvia (Chad) Levey of Montour Falls, NY; 12 grandchildren, Daniel (Rosalyn) Brubaker, Aaron (Kelly) Brubaker, Emily Brubaker, Jacquelyn (Marc) Gusst, Jessica Baker, Rebecca Baker, Elizabeth Brubaker, Julie (Jed) Gehman, Benjamin Brubaker, Jacob Boll, McKayla Boll, and Alexander Brubaker; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Velva (David) Wingert of Chambersburg, Cora Alleman of Chambersburg, and Ferne (Sheldon) Grove of Goodrich, MI; sisters-in-law, Lowe Mae Crider and Betty Crider, both of Shippensburg; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, John Crider, Monroe Crider, Abram Crider, and Irvin Crider; and four sisters, Mary Musser, Dorothy Nickel, Anna Gettle, and Esther Strite.

 

Friends may call at Jemison Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 5870 State Route 249, Westfield, PA on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM. Rev. Gene Jones will officiate.
