Terry J. Hardes
PORT ALLEGANY- Terry J. Hardes, 62, of Campbell Hollow Rd., passed away Saturday (May 26, 2018) at his home, of an apparent heart attack.
Born Mar. 3, 1956, in Coudersport, PA, he was a son of Ward C. and Katherine Franke Hardes. On Oct. 11, 1986, in Port Allegany, he married Nancy L. Falk, who survives.
Terry was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1974.
Mr. Hardes worked for Olson-Tenglund, Inc. of Port Allegany, for 35 years. He always managed to lighten up the demeanor of a customer while at work.
Terry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed watching birds. He also loved woodworking and carpentry.
Surviving in addition to his wife Nancy, are two daughters, Colleen A. (Ken Kysor) Hardes of Parma Heights, OH, and Sara E. (Rich Benjamin) Hardes of Towanda, PA; a brother, J. Michael (Linda) Hardes of Port Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday (May 30, 2018) in the First Presbyterian Church, Port Allegany, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. with Rev. Garen Smith, pastor, officiating.
Memorials can be made to the Port Area Ambulance Service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
