Thomas Warren BRAINARD, 83, of Andover, NY, died Saturday, August 1, 2026, in his home. 

Born on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1943, in Irondequoit, he was the son of Warren and Rose Causyn Brainard. 

He was a graduate of Irondequoit Central School, he was drafted into the US Army on his 18th birthday. He served honorably was a MP from 1961 – 1969. Tom met Judith Taylor at the DoughBox in Rochester and on July 18, 1970, they were married at the original 1st Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsville. He was employed at Argentieri Brothers, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed watching tv, especially the Lone Ranger, with Judy and attending church. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Tom was a member of the 1st Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsville.

Surviving are: his wife, Judy; a daughter, Kelly (Cliff) Brainard-Nichols of Canandaigua; two grandchildren, Linden Miles and Nathan (Laura) Miles; two brothers, Bill (Peggy) Brainard and Ken (Marge) Brainard; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Sue Valiukas.

Friends may call at First Trinity Lutheran Church, 470 North Main Street, Wellsville on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with funeral services following at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in First Burying Grounds Cemetery, Rushford, NY.
