Valerie A. ABBOTT

Valerie A. ABBOTT, 67, of Wellsville, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in UR Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville. 

Born September 28, 1958, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Lioanel L., Jr. and Barbara Ann Burdick Abbott. A 1976 graduate of Wellsville High School, she was employed by AVX Corporation in Olean for 36 years. Valerie enjoyed spending time with family, the family dogs, reading, and word puzzles. 

Surviving besides her mother are: two brothers, Brian (Margaret) Abbott of Wellsville and Steven Abbott of Portville; three nieces, Tamara, Sara, and Haley; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father. 

A private burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Potter Brook, PA. Memorials may be made to Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
