Carol J. GRUBER

Carol J. GRUBER, 88, of Fillmore, NY, formerly of Dansville and Greenwood, died Thursday, August 5, 2021 in the Comfort House of Allegany County, Wellsville.

Born July 14, 1933, in Whitesville, he was the son of Henry and Caroline Colvin Gruber.  A Korean War Veteran, he served honorably with the U.S. Army from 1953 - 1955.  Carol was employed by Foster Wheeler in Dansville as a welder.  He enjoyed fishing and welding.  He loved his Jack Russell terrier, Jack.

Surviving are:  a daughter, Kathy Jones of Pavilion;  a brother, Henry Gruber, Jr. of WV;  two sisters, Mary Serusa and Joyce Garret, both of Mt. Morris;  his friends, Jason (Laura) Thayer of Fillmore;  nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert R. Gruber of Andover;  and two sisters, Gloria Gruber and Doris Gruber.

A private graveside service will be held in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY.
