Robert C. NELSON

Robert C. NELSON, 86, of Ulysses, PA, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in his home.

Born March 28, 1934, in Bingham Township, Ulysses, PA, he was the son of Lawrence C. and Freda Pride Nelson.  On November 13, 1954, in Mills, he married the former Wilma E. Mills, who predeceased him on March 24, 2010.  A 1952 graduate of Harrison Valley High School, he was employed by Eberle Tannery in Westfield, Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post, NY, and Western Auto in Westfield for 36 years, retiring in 1999.  Bob was a member of the Mills Union Church and the Harrison-Ulysses-Genesee senior center. He enjoyed playing cards, visiting local coffee shops, and playing lottery tickets.

Surviving are:  five children, Barbara (Ronald) Cacciotti of Mooresville, IN, Connie (Daniel) Robbins of Westfield, Robert Charles “Chuck” (Lori) Nelson, Jr., James A. (Joanie) Nelson, and Cindy (Marc) Bennett, all of Ulysses;  twelve grandchildren;  ten great-grandchildren;  one great-great-grandson;  four siblings, Edith I. Nelson of Mills, Wayne (Dorothy) Nelson of Shinglehouse, Henry (Donna) Nelson of Oregon, WI, and Edna (John) Logue of Cowansville;  nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Mills Union Church on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, with Funeral Services following at 12:00 Noon.  CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines apply.  Rev. Allyn Baker will officiate.  Burial will be in Mills Cemetery.
